An ambitious and inclusive secondary school in South London is seeking an experienced Senior Curriculum Leader - SENDCO to join its leadership team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an established SENDCO or aspiring senior leader to shape SEND provision across Key Stages 3-5 while playing a key role in whole-school improvement.
The Role
• Lead and develop the school's SEND strategy and provision across Years 7-13.
• Act as the designated SENDCO, overseeing EHCPs, annual reviews and statutory processes.
• Drive inclusive teaching and learning across all departments.
• Lead, develop and line manage SEND staff and Learning Support Assistants.
• Monitor pupil progress and ensure effective interventions for students with additional needs.
• Work closely with parents, external agencies and senior leaders to secure excellent outcomes for students.
• Contribute to whole-school leadership, safeguarding, curriculum development and school improvement initiatives.
• Teaching commitment of approximately 16 periods per cycle.
The Ideal Candidate
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Proven experience leading SEND provision within a secondary school.
• Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes.
• Outstanding leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Passionate about inclusion, achievement and student wellbeing.
