Job description

Senior Data Architect - Finance - LondonA small but growing consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to play a key role in shaping and governing enterprise data architecture across a complex, highly regulated environment. This is a hands-on architecture role requiring someone who can operate with credibility from day one, defining technical patterns, assuring solution designs and providing architectural leadership across data, analytics, and emerging AI initiatives. We're looking for a technically minded architect rather than a purely business-focused strategist; someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, influencing engineering teams, and ensuring robust architectural standards are adopted across the organisation. The RoleYou will be responsible for defining and evolving data architecture capabilities that support operational reporting, advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven solutions. Working closely with data engineering, analytics, governance, security, and business stakeholders, you will help shape the organisation's data value chain while ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include: • Defining enterprise, domain, and solution-level data architectures • Establishing and governing data architecture standards, principles, and technical patterns • Designing logical and physical data models for operational, analytical, and AI use cases • Providing architectural oversight and design assurance across delivery teams • Supporting data governance, lineage, metadata management and data quality initiatives • Contributing to long-term architecture roadmaps and investment planning This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation undergoing significant data and technology evolution with a very well established client base, where architecture plays a critical role in enabling future analytics, AI and business capabilities. Salary on offer is up to £100,000 plus benefits on a hybrid basis. Please get in touch asap for more information.
