Senior Data Engineer Valid UK Right to Work Required Location: Buckinghamshire (Hybrid - 2-3 days office-based) Salary: £65k+ Benefits The Opportunity We're partnering with a growing organisation in Buckinghamshire looking to appoint an experienced Senior Data Engineer to help modernise and scale their cloud-based data platform. You'll play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining robust data solutions, improving data quality and enabling business-wide reporting and analytics. Working closely with Data Analysts, BI Developers and wider stakeholders, you'll help deliver reliable, scalable data solutions that support key business decisions. Responsibilities: • Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines • Develop and optimise cloud-based data solutions • Build and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines • Work with Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics and Microsoft Fabric • Improve data quality, governance and documentation processes • Optimise SQL queries and database performance • Develop data models to support analytics and reporting requirements • Collaborate with BI Developers, Data Analysts and business stakeholders • Support data platform migrations from legacy environments into Azure • Contribute to best practices around data engineering, automation and deployment Required Skills & Experience: • Strong commercial experience as a Data Engineer • Advanced SQL development skills • Commercial Python experience • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) • Experience working with Microsoft Azure data services • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes • Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modelling • Experience using Git/version control • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Desirable Skills: • Microsoft Fabric • Azure Synapse Analytics • Databricks • Apache Spark / PySpark • dbt • Apache Airflow • Power BI • Azure DevOps • CI/CD pipelines • Terraform What's On Offer: • £65k+ salary package • Hybrid working model • Company bonus scheme • Private healthcare • Enhanced pension contribution • Professional development budget • Microsoft certification opportunities • Clear progression opportunities into Lead Data Engineer / Data Engineering Manager positions
