Senior Ecologist - Leeds Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits An established, employee-focused environmental and engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join its growing team in Leeds. They will be responsible for managing surveys, reporting, client liaison, and supporting junior team members. Key Responsibilities; • Leading and managing ecological surveys, including habitat and protected species work • Producing high-quality technical reports, including PEAs, EIAs, and management plans • Providing expert advice to clients and multidisciplinary teams • Mentoring and supporting junior ecologists • Managing project timelines, budgets, and client expectations • Supporting business development and contributing to tender submissions You will ideally have; • Proven experience in ecological consultancy, ideally within the UK • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, planning policy, and best practice • Experience in project management and client-facing roles • Excellent report writing and communication skills • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIEEM), ideally working toward or holding chartership • Protected species licences (desirable but not essential) This role offers the chance to be part of a supportive and innovative team, where professional development is actively encouraged and contributions are valued.
