Senior Electrical Design Engineer Permanent £55,000 - £65,000 Portsmouth We are seeking a Senior Electrical DesignEngineer to lead the design and development of advanced electrical systems for maritime platforms. This role combines system design, integration, and hands-on validation, working closely with cross-functional engineering teams. Responsibilities: • Lead the design and integration of electrical systems including power distribution, control modules, motor control, and battery systems • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless system integration and compliance with standards • Develop and test prototypes, supporting validation, performance, and safety testing activities • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in system efficiency and performance • Produce and communicate detailed technical documentation including schematics, wiring diagrams, and reports Essential Skills and Experience: • Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience • Strong experience in electrical system design, integration, and validation • Knowledge of power electronics, battery management systems, and electric vehicle architectures • Background in electric vehicle or automotive electrical systems Benefits • Private healthcare • Life assurance • Professional development • Pension contribution
