Job description

Your new company An established and values-led organisation is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Adviser to join its People team. Your new role As Senior Employee Relations Adviser, you will provide expert guidance on a wide range of complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management, and organisational change cases. You will work closely with managers, HR colleagues, trade unions, and senior stakeholders to ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes. The role will also involve supporting policy development, delivering training and coaching, analysing ER trends, promoting early intervention and conflict resolution, and contributing to wider people projects and initiatives. What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you will have substantial experience managing complex employee relations casework within a HR environment. You will possess strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law, with the ability to provide pragmatic, risk-based advice to managers and stakeholders. Experience working with trade unions, supporting organisational change, developing HR policies, and coaching leaders is highly desirable. A CIPD qualification (or equivalent experience) and excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills are essential.
