Job description

Senior Engineering Geologist Edinburgh £45,000 - £55,000 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Engineering Geologist to join a well-established geotechnical consultancy based in Edinburgh. The role offers the chance to work within a highly experienced team delivering a wide range of ground investigation and geotechnical projects across Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects from site investigation through to reporting, with a strong focus on technical quality and client delivery. This position would suit an experienced Engineering Geologist looking for a varied role combining site work, technical reporting and project management. Key Responsibilities: • Managing and supervising ground investigations, including borehole logging, trial pitting and in-situ testing • Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports • Interpreting ground investigation data and developing ground models • Providing geotechnical advice to clients and project teams • Supporting project delivery from planning through to completion • Mentoring junior members of the team and supporting their technical development • Liaising with clients, contractors and other engineering disciplines Requirements: • Degree in Engineering Geology, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subject • Proven experience within engineering geology and ground investigation • Strong understanding of UK ground conditions and geotechnical principles • Experience with site supervision, logging and technical reporting • Excellent communication and organisational skills • Full UK driving licence This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Engineering Geologist to join a respected consultancy, working on a diverse portfolio of projects with excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development.
