Senior Estimator – Commercial Flooring Job Title: Senior Estimator – Commercial Painting & Decorating Job reference Number: Office Based: Belfast (Site visits typically 2-3 Days per week) Remuneration: £50,000 + Performance related bonus Benefits: Car allowance & Comprehensive benefits package The role of Estimator – Commercial flooring will involve: • Senior Estimator position dealing with range of commercial and residential flooring projects including painting & decorating, fit-out, strip-out and refurb • Interpreting technical drawings, generating & following up quotations • Producing formal quotations to customers • Taking details from drawings to produce BOQs allowing for a timely return of quotations for customer deadlines • Keeping good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database • Contacting customers, dealing with queries and providing additional technical information • Negotiating with clients, tier-1 contractors, project managers, quantity surveyors and internal estimating team The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Commercial flooring with: • Must have 5+ years Estimating experience within the construction sector • Highly advantageous to have experience within flooring, fit-out, painting, decorating or come from a closely related background • Would be an ideal to have experience dealing with Tier-1 contractors • Good technical knowledge and good understanding of industry processes, materials and costs • Ideally would have a quantity surveying degree • Stable career, highly organised with good attention to detail • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal • IT literate (Microsoft Office) • Ability to work in a fast paced environment Mitchell Maguire is a specialist Construction Recruitment Consultancy, dealing exclusively with Construction Jobs, Construction vacancies and Specification positions within: Estimator, Estimating, Fit Out, Fitout, Strip Out, Refurb, Refurbishment, Remediation, Repair, Finishes, Small Works, M&E, Electrical, Finishes, Painting, Installation, Design & Build, D&B, Office, Supermarket, Shopping Centres, Retail, Commercial, Education, Industrial, Leisure
