We are exclusively supporting a prestigious charity in London hire a Senior Finance Business Partner to join their commercial arm which delivers more than 75% of organisation’s revenue. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial reports and management accounts to support the organisational needs. The successful candidate will act as a proxy member of the executive team, providing commercial insight and participating in decision-making and planning functions.
Day-to-day of the role:
• Support business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Conduct business reporting and cost accounting.
• Continually review business operations and provide recommendations on alternative approaches.
• Perform financial modelling and analysis of all business initiatives.
• Improve reporting, analysis, and use of KPIs within the business.
• Provide commercial analytical financial support for commercial negotiations and business case creation on request.
• Engage with the executive team to provide the necessary financial insights for informed decision-making.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Hold a professional accounting qualification – ACMA, ACA, ACCA, etc.
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial management principles, policies, and procedures.
• Experience in commercial financial analysis including KPIs and ROI.
• Proven ability in working with a subsidiary and within a shared services function.
• Strong understanding of the broader business context with the ability to apply this practically.
• Ability to influence decisions and drive improvements through the business.
• Competent user of financial and technology systems, including MS Word/Excel and other relevant software packages.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage significant workloads and changing priorities.
• Experience of engaging effectively at the Executive level and being a team player.
Desirable:
• Finance experience within a charity/not-for-profit organisation and commercial background.
• Experience working with mid-tier businesses, ideally with a turnover between £20-40 million.
• Experience in Joint Ventures (JV) / Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A).
