Job description

Our client is a successful medium-sized global banking group who has done an excellent job of building a stable business, demonstrating a strong track record of staff retention and career development while fostering a very positive and collaborative working environment. Their Finance function has created a new role for a Senior Finance Manager with responsibilities covering financial reporting (around 70% of the role) and tax reporting and compliance (around 30% of the role). While the ideal candidate must bring a solid foundation of financial control and accounts preparation experience, the tax aspect is very important as this individual will be preparing and submitting all direct and indirect taxes, including Transfer Pricing, Corporation Tax and VAT. Lastly, the bank provides good work-life balance and has a hybrid working model of 3 days from the office and 2 from home. Profile Criteria: • Ideally a fully-qualified accounting professional (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a min. of 5 years (the more the better) of financial, management, and tax accounting experience • Banking sector experience is preferred but our client will also consider those from wider financial services • A hands-on all-rounder who enjoys working end-to-end across financial processes, from trial balance to analytical reporting. • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues at all levels. • Experience accounting for banking products / financial instruments would be nice to have
