Senior Geotechnical Engineer Location: London Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 An award-winning multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to join its growing London team. With an excellent reputation for delivering innovative engineering solutions across residential, commercial, education, healthcare and infrastructure sectors, this is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking consultancy working on high-profile projects throughout the UK. This role is ideal for an experienced geotechnical design engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, delivering technically challenging designs and working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams. The Role: • Deliver geotechnical designs on a wide range of development and infrastructure projects. • Design foundations, retaining walls, basements, slopes, earthworks and ground improvement solutions. • Interpret ground investigation data and undertake geotechnical assessments. • Produce detailed geotechnical design calculations and technical reports. • Carry out analysis using industry-standard geotechnical software. • Work closely with structural, civil and environmental teams to deliver integrated design solutions. • Attend client meetings and provide technical advice throughout project delivery. • Mentor and support junior engineers within the geotechnical team. Requirements: • Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering. • Extensive geotechnical design experience within a UK consultancy. • Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and British Standards. • Experience using software such as PLAXIS, Oasys, GeoStudio or similar. • Excellent technical report writing and communication skills. • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership is desirable. • Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain strong client relationships.
