Senior Healthcare Assistant – Days – Boutique Retirement Home – AV1962
Location: Swaffham, Norfolk
Full-Time | 37.5 Hours per Week | £14.40 per hour
Day Shifts Available: 8:00am–8:00pm, 8:00am–2:00pm or 2:00pm–8:00pm
The OpportunityOur client is seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Healthcare Assistant to join the day team at a newly owned boutique retirement home in the picturesque village of Little Dunham, Norfolk.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dedicated team within a small, resident-focused care setting that prides itself on delivering personalised, high-quality care. The home provides residential care for 18 residents, offering a warm, welcoming environment where residents are supported to live comfortably, independently, and with dignity.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents
• Support residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily living activities
• Assist with medication administration where required
• Promote residents' dignity, independence, and wellbeing
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation
• Support and mentor junior care staff during day shifts
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
• Contribute to creating a warm, welcoming, and engaging home environment
Candidate Requirements
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (preferred)
• Previous experience within a residential care setting
• Experience in a Senior Care Assistant or Healthcare Assistant role advantageous
• Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lead by example and support colleagues
• Genuine passion for providing exceptional care for older people
