About The RoleFDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Interaction Designer to work for our client within the Public Sector sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role based in one of various locations across the UK such as Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Liverpool or London. Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Interaction Designer to lead the design, evaluation and improvement of user interactions across complex digital services. Working within multidisciplinary agile teams, you will help shape end to end user journeys, ensuring services are accessible, inclusive and aligned to user needs. This is an opportunity to influence service design strategy, champion user centred design practices and deliver evidence based improvements that enhance user experience and business outcomes. Responsibilities: • Lead interaction design across complex digital services, ensuring user journeys and design components meet user and organisational needs. • Work with service managers, programme teams and stakeholders to design, test and iterate solutions based on user feedback and evidence. • Use research, analytics and user insight to make evidence based design decisions and improve service outcomes. • Create and test prototypes, patterns and components across different levels of fidelity, from concept through to delivery. • Facilitate workshops, design critiques and stakeholder sessions while building consensus and influencing design direction. About You • Extensive experience designing user flows, interaction patterns and interface behaviours across complex digital services. • Strong understanding of user centred design principles, accessibility standards and the Government Service Standard. • Proven experience using research, analytics and data to develop, test and enhance design solutions. • Significant experience working within agile, multidisciplinary teams and influencing product and service delivery decisions. • Strong prototyping skills using industry standard design tools, with experience creating developer ready designs and reusable design patterns. • Experience mentoring designers, facilitating workshops and managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
