Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Paraplanner to join their professional team in St Albans. This is an excellent opportunity for a career-driven paraplanner looking to take on a senior role with leadership responsibility within a progressive and client-focused financial planning practice. The Role: The successful candidate will be a highly experienced and technically proficient Paraplanner who can confidently support advisers with complex financial planning cases while also helping to oversee and guide the wider support team, currently consisting of another paraplanner and an administrator. This role would suit an organised and proactive individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, maintaining excellent compliance standards, and contributing positively to team development and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: • Preparing high-quality suitability reports and recommendation letters across pensions, investments, protection, and retirement planning • Conducting detailed technical research and analysis to support financial planning recommendations • Assisting advisers with complex cases and client planning strategies • Attending client meetings where required • Managing and reviewing asset allocation and model portfolio recommendations • Ensuring all client files and recommendations meet FCA compliance standards • Conducting provider, platform, and product due diligence • Supporting the submission and processing of new business through to completion • Acting as a senior technical point of contact within the team • Helping to lead, mentor, and support the paraplanning and administration team • Maintaining accurate records, research, and audit trails • Managing workflow effectively and ensuring deadlines are met • Liaising professionally with clients, providers, and third parties • Assisting with the ongoing improvement of internal systems and processes • Managing back-office systems and investment platforms efficiently • Preparing review packs and supporting advisers ahead of client meetings Requirements: • Significant experience working as a Paraplanner within an IFA or wealth management firm • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, tax planning, and protection • Experience writing complex suitability reports • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively • Previous experience supporting or mentoring junior team members would be advantageous • Excellent organisational and communication skills • Professional and proactive approach to work • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Financial Planning qualifications preferred, ideally Level 4 Diploma qualified or working towards Chartered status How to Apply: Apply today to be considered for this excellent Senior Paraplanner opportunity.
