Senior Quantity Surveyor – Major Infrastructure Project (Sizewell C) Location: Sizewell C, Suffolk Job Type: Full-time, Permanent An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction specialist, on one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. Working as part of a commercial team, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of complex projects, providing commercial leadership from project inception through to final account. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring financial performance, contractual compliance and effective risk management throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities include: • Managing project costs, budgets and forecasts. • Administering contracts and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. • Preparing, reviewing and negotiating subcontractor packages. • Valuing variations and managing change control. • Preparing interim valuations, applications for payment and final accounts. • Identifying and mitigating commercial risks. • Producing accurate commercial reports and cost forecasts. • Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams. • Supporting and mentoring junior commercial team members where appropriate. About You You will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong commercial background and a proven ability to manage projects within the construction sector. You'll ideally have: • Significant experience in a Quantity Surveyor role. • Experience within main contracting, construction or major infrastructure projects. • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts. • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills. • The ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. • Strong analytical and financial management skills.
