Senior Social Media Executive - Pet Industry - 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract Stevenage, Hertfordshire Up to £36,000 The Animal People Recruitment Company is delighted to be partnering with an exciting, fast-growing consumer brand to recruit a Senior Social Media Executive This role has arisen due to maternity leave within the existing team and presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced social media professional to take ownership of a growing social media function during a key stage of the business's growth journey. Social media sits at the heart of the brand's success, and this role will combine content creation, influencer management, social media planning and team leadership. The successful candidate will manage one Social Media Executive whilst working closely with Ecommerce, Customer Experience, Design and Senior Leadership teams. This is a highly visible role with genuine opportunity to influence campaigns, shape content strategy and drive continued audience growth. Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Planning & Strategy • Support and execute the social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram and Facebook • Plan and manage content calendars • Deliver product launches, campaigns and seasonal activity • Identify trends and content opportunities • Support future international social media growth Team Leadership • Line manage and develop a Social Media Executive • Delegate workload and provide coaching and support • Review content and ensure brand consistency • Help drive performance and development within the social team Content Creation • Create engaging video and image content • Film and edit short-form content • Write compelling captions and social copy • Participate in content creation and on-camera activity when required Influencer & Community Management • Manage influencer, creator and ambassador relationships • Coordinate gifting and creator campaigns • Support affiliate and TikTok Shop activity • Build and engage Buddycare's online community • Respond to customer engagement across social platforms Analytics & Performance • Monitor campaign and platform performance • Analyse engagement and audience growth • Identify opportunities for improvement • Collaborate with Ecommerce on growth initiatives About You • 4+ years' experience within social media, content creation or digital marketing • Strong experience across TikTok and Instagram • Excellent video filming and editing skills • Experience working with influencers, creators or ambassadors • Previous experience mentoring, coaching or managing junior team members • Strong copywriting and communication skills • Commercially aware and data-driven • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment • Passionate about social media, consumer brands and emerging trends Package • Salary up to £36,000 • 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract • Office-based in Stevenage • Flexible working hours • Collaborative and supportive culture • Significant autonomy and ownership
