Hybrid working - 4 days in office - An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading international live events company, delivering award-winning live entertainment projects around the world including spectacular special effects, pyrotechnics and show technology for world tours, stadium productions, festivals and large-scale live events. If you're passionate about live event visualisation and creating extraordinary audience experiences through innovative technical design, we'd love to hear from you. We are looking for an experienced Technical Designer with a strong background in Depence software and live event show design to help create visually stunning, technically accurate productions for some of the world's most ambitious entertainment projects. Working alongside creative, technical and project management teams, you will transform concepts into fully realised show designs using industry-leading visualisation software, ensuring creative ambition is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest production standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining creativity with technical precision and wants to influence the design of world-class live productions from concept through rehearsal and delivery. The Role You will be responsible for developing immersive show designs and previsualisations using Depence and other industry-standard software, creating realistic representations of lighting, lasers, special effects and pyrotechnics before they reach the stage. Working across multiple international projects, you will collaborate with designers, programmers and production teams to develop innovative show concepts, refine creative ideas and ensure designs are practical, safe and deliverable in live environments. Key Responsibilities Design and programme live event installations using Depence, Vectorworks or Finale3D software. Produce accurate previsualisations of lasers, special effects, pyrotechnics and staging concepts. Develop creative show files for touring productions, festivals and permanent installations. Collaborate with project managers, technical specialists and creative teams throughout the design process. Ensure all creative designs are technically achievable and compliant with safety requirements. Support rehearsals and production periods by refining show designs as projects evolve. Research new technologies and creative techniques to continually improve show quality. Mentor junior designers and contribute to the development of creative standards. The Candidate We're looking for someone who combines artistic vision with strong technical capability. You ideally should have: Advanced experience using Depence, Vectorworks, Finale3D or similar design platforms for live event visualisation and show design. Experience designing productions involving lasers, special effects, pyrotechnics or large-scale entertainment technology. Knowledge of live production workflows from concept through rehearsal and delivery. Excellent understanding of spatial design, timing, sequencing and show programming. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments. A proactive approach to problem-solving within fast-paced production environments. Previous experience working on touring productions, concerts, festivals or large live events would be advantageous.
