Senior UX DesignerLocation: Leeds (Hybrid - Onsite every Monday plus one additional day per week) Contract: Initial 6-month contract (likely to extend to 12 months) £513 per Day - Inside IR35 We're recruiting on behalf of a leading UK banking client for an experienced Senior UX Designer to join a growing team responsible for shaping the future of digital Investments and Pensions experiences. This is an opportunity to work on products used by millions of customers across some of the UK's best-known banking and financial services brands, helping to create intuitive, engaging digital experiences that make investing and pensions more accessible for everyone. The OpportunityJoining a collaborative UX team that's growing from six to eight designers, you'll lead the end-to-end design of customer journeys across investment and pension products, from early discovery through to delivery. One of your key projects will focus on redesigning entry-level investment and pension products, making portfolios more engaging, intuitive and user-friendly for customers who are new to investing. Working closely with Product, Research and Engineering, you'll have the opportunity to influence product direction, solve complex customer problems and shape experiences that blend the familiarity of web with the convenience of mobile apps. What You'll Be Doing • Lead UX and product design across the full design lifecycle, from discovery through to delivery. • Design intuitive, customer-centred experiences for investment and pension platforms. • Produce high-quality wireframes, interaction designs, prototypes and polished visual designs in Figma. • Turn user research and insights into meaningful design solutions. • Present and confidently defend design decisions with senior stakeholders. • Collaborate across Product, Research, Engineering and other design disciplines. • Contribute to a growing, highly collaborative UX team where knowledge sharing is encouraged. • Help create seamless digital experiences that simplify complex financial journeys. What We're Looking ForWe're looking for a true Senior UX Designer who combines exceptional design craft with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. You'll be someone who can confidently own design outcomes from concept through to delivery while influencing decisions across a complex organisation. Essential Skills & Experience • Extensive experience leading end-to-end UX and product design. • Outstanding proficiency in Figma. • Strong visual design and interaction design skills, with a portfolio demonstrating high-quality execution. • Experience creating intuitive, engaging digital products with a strong customer focus. • Excellent storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly explain the thinking behind your design decisions. • Proven ability to influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders. • Strong problem-solving skills with a user-centred approach. • A proactive mindset and willingness to collaborate across multiple disciplines. What Will Make You Stand OutThe hiring team is particularly interested in designers who can demonstrate: • End-to-end ownership of complex product design projects. • A portfolio showcasing original, high-quality visual design and interaction design work. • Strong product thinking alongside excellent UX fundamentals. • Clear evidence of translating user insight into successful product outcomes. • Confidence working within complex or regulated environments. • The ability to influence product direction through compelling storytelling and communication. While financial services experience isn't essential, experience working within regulated industries would be advantageous.
