Job description

Reed Technology is supporting a company based in Edinburgh, as they look to hire a Senior User Experience Researcher. In this role you'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to understand user needs, identify opportunities for improvements and ensure services are designed around the people who use them. Key responsibilities: • Leading user research across discovery, alpha, beta and live phases. • Planning and conducting interviews, usability testing, contextual research and workshops. • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to shape products and services. • Synthesising research findings into clear insights and recommendations. • Helping teams understand the needs, behaviours and priorities of users. • Supporting service design, product and delivery decisions through evidence. • Helping develop reusable approaches, patterns and delivery assets that strengthen future projects. Requirements: • Solid experience delivering user research within complex digital or service transformation programmes. • Experience working as part of multidisciplinary teams. • Strong understanding of Government Digital Service principles, service standards and user-centred design practices. • Experience planning and delivering a range of qualitative research activities. • Strong analysis and synthesis skills, with the ability to turn findings into actionable recommendations. • Excellent communication and facilitation skills. • Experience working with a broad range of stakeholders, including senior decision makers. • A strong understanding of accessibility, inclusion and designing for diverse user needs.
