Job description

Main Duties of the Job • Provide leadership, guidance and support to Care Assistants during night shifts. • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in accordance with residents' individual care plans. • Promote residents' dignity, independence, privacy and wellbeing at all times. • Monitor residents throughout the night and respond appropriately to any changes in wellbeing or care needs. • Support the smooth running of the shift through effective organisation and teamwork. • Assist with the implementation and review of care plans and risk assessments. • Ensure accurate and timely completion of care records and documentation. • Communicate effectively with residents, relatives, colleagues and healthcare professionals. • Support shift handovers to ensure continuity and consistency of care. • Mentor and support new and existing team members where required. • Promote compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, infection prevention and control, and company policies. • Contribute to audits, quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives. • Help maintain a safe, calm and comfortable environment throughout the home. • Act as a positive role model, demonstrating professionalism and high standards of care. • Uphold the values and reputation of Priesty Fields Care Home and Sandstone Care Group at all times. • Undertake any other duties reasonably required to support the effective operation of the home.
