Job description

Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly respected housing organisation to recruit a Service Charge Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to combine hands-on financial management with team leadership within a supportive and collaborative environment. Reporting directly to the Service Charge Manager, you will receive ongoing guidance and mentorship while taking responsibility for the financial management of the organisation's service charge function. The role offers an excellent balance of budgeting and forecasting responsibilities alongside the opportunity to support and manage a team of Service Charge Officers, making it ideal for someone looking to further develop both their technical accounting and leadership skills. Skills Needed • Part-qualified qualified by experience within a service charge, property or housing finance environment. • Previous experience with budgeting, forecasting, month-end accounting, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments. • Strong understanding of service charge accounting and the relevant legislation, ideally gained within the housing or property sector. • Previous experience working within a regulated environment, ideally within social housing or the wider property sector.
