Service Engineer – Diesel GeneratorsLocation: Midlands preferred (UK-wide field-based role) Salary: £40,000 Basic + Overtime + Company Van Our client is a leading manufacturer of diesel generators and is looking to recruit an experienced Service Engineer to join their growing UK service team. This is a home-based role covering customer sites nationwide. Whilst the Midlands is the preferred location, applications are welcomed from experienced engineers across the UK. The RoleYou'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing diesel generator sets, ensuring customers receive first-class technical support and reliable equipment performance. Responsibilities • Service, maintain and repair diesel generators. • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults. • Carry out planned maintenance and breakdown response. • Complete pre-delivery inspections and warranty work. • Produce service reports and maintain accurate records. • Provide technical support to customers on-site. • Travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays. About You • Proven experience servicing diesel generators. • Recognised Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent). • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. • Able to work independently and provide excellent customer service. • Full UK driving licence.
