Job description

Role: ServiceNow Test Lead Type: Contract (Inside Ir35) Location: Remote (Occasional travel in office) Duration: 6 months About the Role We are seeking an experienced ServiceNowTest Lead to join a high-profile digital transformation programme within the healthcare sector. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality technology solutions within an Agile delivery environment. As the Test Lead, you will own the end-to-end testing strategy, coordinating testing activities across multiple workstreams and ensuring releases meet defined quality standards. You will work closely with Product Owners, Delivery Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, and key stakeholders to deliver robust and reliable solutions. Key Responsibilities • Define and implement the overall test strategy and approach. • Establish quality metrics, testing objectives, and success criteria. • Develop comprehensive test plans aligned with programme objectives and delivery timelines. • Lead and coordinate all testing activities throughout the project lifecycle. • Manage testing resources and ensure testing activities are delivered on schedule. • Identify, manage, and remove blockers impacting testing progress. • Proactively monitor and mitigate testing risks and issues. • Oversee defect management, ensuring issues are documented, prioritised, and resolved effectively. • Produce clear and actionable reporting on testing progress, quality metrics, risks, and release readiness. • Drive continuous improvement across testing processes and quality assurance practices. Essential Experience • Proven experience as a ServiceNowTest Lead, QA Lead, or Senior Test Manager. • Experience delivering testing within a UK public sector and/or highly regulated environment. • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and principles. • Demonstrable experience creating and executing test strategies and test plans. • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. • Experience providing test reporting and release recommendations to senior stakeholders. • Proven track record in defect management and quality assurance governance. • Agile certifications or advanced Agile delivery experience. • Experience using ServiceNow. • Healthcare, NHS, or wider public sector programme experience. Travel Requirements Occasional travel to Leeds, London, and Exeter for quarterly planning events, workshops, and stakeholder meetings. Some overnight stays may be required.
