Here at GXO, we’re looking for an ambitious and motivated Shift Manager to join our multi-user site in West Hallam. You’ll support the Operations Manager in leading a busy warehouse operation. You’ll be responsible for coordinating people, resourced, and processes to ensure operational KPIs are consistently achieved while creating a safe, engaged, and high-performing team culture. This is a full-time, permanent position. Typically you will work 'any 5 from 7' on rotating shifts including 05:30 till 14:00, 13:30 till 22:00 and 12:30 till 2030. Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £34,173 per annum plus a 7.5% shift premium and 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day: • Lead, coach and develop Team Leader and Warehouse Colleagues, creating a motivated and high-performing workforce • Drive operational performance, ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs and customer service targets are consistently achieved • Manage warehouse resources effectively, including workforce planning, shift cover, workload allocation, and productivity monitoring • Champion Health & Safety compliance, ensuring all colleagued follow safe systems of work and operational procedures What you need to succeed at GXO: • Experience leading teams within a warehouse, logistics, distribution, or operational environment • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate, engage, and develop colleagues at all levels • Experience managing employee relations, performance, absence, and workforce planning within a fast-paced operation • Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and operational compliance requirements We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
