Job description

About the Role We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Supervisor to lead our busy fabrication shopfloor. This is a pivotal role responsible for keeping production running efficiently, ensuring jobs move through the factory on schedule, and maximising labour utilisation across all departments. You’ll act as the key link between production and management, driving performance, productivity, and quality standards across the shopfloor. Salary is negotiable. Key Responsibilities • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the shopfloor • Ensure all work progresses in line with production schedules • Monitor workflow across departments (laser, fabrication, finishing) • Identify and resolve bottlenecks or delays • Allocate labour effectively and ensure accurate job clocking • Track job timings against estimates to improve efficiency • Act as the main point of contact for shopfloor staff • Maintain high-quality standards and minimise rework • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures What We’re Looking For • Experience within a fabrication or manufacturing environment (essential) • Previous supervisory or team leader experience • Strong understanding of shopfloor workflows and production processes • Proven ability to manage teams and drive performance • Organised, proactive, and solution-focused mindset • Experience with job tracking systems (e.g. Progress Plus) is advantageous What We Offer • Competitive salary based on experience • Stable, full-time position within a growing business • Opportunity to take ownership of production operations • Supportive and collaborative working environment • Clear opportunities for career progression Multitask Recruitment Solutions is committed to equal opportunities for everyone, basing decisions solely on suitability for the job.
