Job description

We are currently hiring for an Shotfirer/ Explosives Supervisor, based at Holme Hall Quarry, South Yorkshire. This role will report into the Quarry Manager Key Responsibilities • The role will involve face profiling, marking out shots, designing the blast specification, safe transfer and storage of explosives. • Other duties will include the charging and firing of production shots and liaising with the driller. • Candidates must demonstrate a strong attitude to health and safety and demonstrate a sound understanding of shot firing operations. • You will also ideally be working towards or have gained their NVQ level 3 in shot firing, MPQC shot firing/explosives supervision card. • Duties will require maintenance and placements of bunding pre and post blast.
