Temporary Site Manager – Primary School (Hillingdon) Location: Hillingdon Start: ASAP Duration: Until at least end of summer term (with potential to go permanent) Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm The Role We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Temporary Site Manager to join a well-established primary school in Hillingdon. This is an immediate start position offering a stable assignment through the summer period, with the possibility of a permanent opportunity for the right candidate. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in ensuring the school premises remain safe, compliant and fully operational. Key Responsibilities • Ensure the school premises are safe, secure, and fully operational, carrying out regular site inspections • Manage day-to-day site operations, including both planned and reactive maintenance • Act as the main point of contact for contractors, ensuring work is completed safely and in line with school procedures • Monitor contractor compliance, including: • Permits to work • Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) • Safeguarding requirements • Carry out routine health & safety checks, including: • Fire alarm testing • Emergency escape route inspections • Hazard and defect reporting • Maintain accurate records including: • Statutory compliance documentation • Maintenance logs • Utility readings • Health & safety records • Undertake minor repairs and maintenance tasks, escalating specialist works where required • Oversee site cleanliness and grounds maintenance, ensuring a safe and presentable environment • Liaise with school leadership regarding maintenance, compliance, and site risks • Support emergency procedures and ensure adherence to health, safety, and safeguarding regulations Requirements • Previous experience in a Site Manager / Caretaker / Facilities role, ideally within a school or similar environment • Strong understanding of health & safety and site compliance • Experience managing contractors and overseeing maintenance works • Ability to carry out basic repairs and maintenance tasks • Good organisational and communication skills • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) What’s on Offer • Competitive hourly rate of £17 per hour • Immediate start with consistent weekday hours • Supportive school environment • Potential for a permanent role Compliance Paperwork will be required including a Enhanced DBS which we will arrange and run for you.
