Site Supervisor
• Annual Salary: £25,949 (£16.35ph during initial contract)
• Location: South Lancaster
• Job Type: Full-time
• Start Date: September 1st, 2026
We are seeking a dedicated Site Supervisor to join our team at a local school. This role is crucial for maintaining the safety and operational efficiency of the school premises. The successful candidate will start with an initial 12-week trial period, with the potential for permanent employment and inclusion in the LCC pension scheme thereafter.
Day-to-day of the role:
• Act as a key holder, carrying out security procedures for the buildings and grounds, including routine and non-routine opening.
• Respond to calls outside normal working hours as a result of break-ins or alarms.
• Provide access to the premises and classrooms in the event of snow, minor flooding, or similar emergency situations.
• Handle enquiries from officers and employees of the Local Education Authority, workers, and contractors, and advise the Headteacher of their presence when appropriate.
• Supervise cleaning staff to ensure that all areas of the school are maintained to a high standard.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience in a supervisory or facilities management role.
• Ability to respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations.
• Strong communication skills to effectively deal with staff, contractors, and local authority representatives.
• Capable of physical tasks associated with opening and securing large buildings and grounds.
• Reliable and responsible, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
