Job description

Social Media Content Creator Bunch of Amateurs Location: Leatherhead, Surrey (Hybrid/Flexible) | Salary: £23,000 – £26,000 DOE About Bunch of Amateurs Bunch of Amateurs is a YouTube documentary channel that delves into the world of non-league football. Our crew follows Dorking Wanderers alongside very own club, BoA FC, and over the last seven years, we’ve built a genuinely passionate community of supporters. This isn't corporate content, it's authentic storytelling based around grassroots sport enveloped by a community that deeply cares. Like the channel, the team is growing, and we need someone to help the channel fulfil its potential. The Role This is a hands-on content creation role for someone who lives and breathes social media and has a genuine love of sport and storytelling. You'll contribute to the voice of Bunch of Amateurs across our social platforms - creating content that feels native to each channel, engages our existing audience, and helps bring new fans into the fold. You'll work closely with the production team, taking footage, interviews, and behind-the-scenes moments and turning it all into content that stops the scroll. What You'll Be Doing • Creating and scheduling content across Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), and YouTube community posts • Clipping and repurposing documentary footage into short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) • Writing captions and copy that match the BoA tone - warm, witty, and grounded • Engaging with the community: responding to comments, joining conversations, building relationships with followers • Tracking performance and sharing what's working (and what isn't) • Keeping up with trends in football content and short-form video to keep things fresh What We're Looking For • Someone who genuinely gets social media — not just posting, but an understanding of what makes content work on each platform • A feel for sport, football culture, and documentary-style storytelling (non-league knowledge a big bonus but not essential) • Basic video editing skills - we will train you up on Final Cut if necessary • Strong written communication - you can adapt your voice for different platforms • Organised, proactive, and happy working with a small, close-knit team • A portfolio or examples of social content you've created (personal projects welcome) What You'll Get • A role with real creative freedom and ownership from day one • A passionate, informal team that cares deeply about what they make • Flexible working with a genuine work/life balance • A front-row seat to one of the most authentic sports media projects in the UK
