Software Developer - Newcastle upon Tyne, full time in office role A firm providing bespoke technology solutions to businesses operating in the banking and financial services industries are seeking a Software Developer to join their rapidly expanding team in Newcastle. They are looking for exceptional talent with excellent communication skills, collaboration is key, both internally and with clients. Responsibilities • Engage directly with users, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to identify requirements, applying sound judgement to design and deliver pragmatic, effective solutions • Take on early responsibility for high-quality end-to-end software delivery • Partner with client teams to deliver products and projects collaboratively • Challenge current systems and processes to achieve common goals through technical excellence and innovation • Keep abreast of industry and technology trends What makes a great candidate • Excellent programming skills, including an extensive experience in C#/.NET, Java, Rust or Python • Passion for technology and an appetite to work in a flexible and integrated team • A pioneering nature, willing to take ownership and run towards problems and someone who thrives on innovation • The ability to own all aspects of development projects from start to finish • A desire to understand and solve business problems, build domain knowledge and increase market understanding • The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with our clients as well as team members • Financial Services experience a bonus, but is not essential • A minimum 2.1 degree obtained in Computer Science, or a related field, ideally from a Russell Group University, as well as strong A Levels (or international equivalent) This is a role where you can genuinely make an impact from day one and work on a wide variety of projects alongside exceptionally talented people.
