Sole-charge Bookkeeper

We are currently recruiting for a Sole-charge Bookkeeper to join a fast-growing services business. This is a hands-on role for someone with good bookkeeping experience who enjoys working across a varied finance function. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month end processes and providing reliable financial information to the wider business. Responsibilities include: • Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records using Sage and Xero • Processing and reconciling financial transactions • Completing bank reconciliations • Supporting month end processes including journals, accruals and prepayments • Assisting with monthly trial balances and management reporting • Producing reports and providing information for senior management • Investigating discrepancies and resolving queries • Supporting the finance team with day to day finance tasks The ideal candidate will have: • Previous experience working as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role • Good understanding of double entry bookkeeping • Experience using Sage and/or Xero • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with reports • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines Experience within a business services environment would be advantageous but is not essential. This role would suit an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a stable position within an established business where strong bookkeeping skills and accuracy are valued.
