We are supporting a well-established Salisbury employer in recruiting a Sous Chef to join their in-house catering team. The organisation offers staff and visitors complimentary breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea, all freshly prepared on-site in a modern, friendly environment.

The role
Working closely with the Catering Manager, you’ll help deliver a high-quality service across a busy staff restaurant. The menu includes homemade dishes, fresh salads, baked items and deli-style options using seasonal produce. You’ll also have input into menu ideas, including allergy-aware dishes.
What you’ll be doing
• Preparing and baking daily items, fresh salads and hot dishes
• Supporting menu development, including allergy-aware recipes
• Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation
• Ensuring dietary needs are catered for and stock levels are maintained
• Leading the kitchen when required, including ordering, budgeting and supporting temp staff
• Providing great customer service and responding to feedback
• Following food safety, health & safety and allergen procedures
• Keeping up to date with training, trends and seasonal ingredients
What we’re looking for
• Experience in a catering or hospitality environment
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Good understanding of food hygiene, allergens and health & safety
• A team player who is organised, proactive and calm under pressure
• Flexible, reliable and confident working independently when needed
• Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to complete training)
Hours & location
• 37.5 hours per week
• Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm
• Southampton Road, Salisbury
• Occasional flexibility required to support wider business needs
