Job description

About the roleTradewind Recruitment is working with primary schools in Barnet to find experienced SEN Teaching Assistants for immediate and ongoing placements. These roles typically involve providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and any external specialists to deliver targeted support for pupils with Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans and other identified SEND needs. Needs may include autism spectrum condition (ASC), ADHD, speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) and physical or sensory needs. Your role will involve adapting resources, using agreed strategies and communication tools, tracking pupil progress against EHCP targets and helping pupils to access the wider curriculum alongside their peers wherever possible.
