Job Title: Special Needs Job Coach - Harrogate and Skipton Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role / Job Summary: Morgan Hunt have partnered with a market leading welfare to work provider who are recruiting for a Special Needs Job Coach to work across Harrogate and Skipton. You will play a vital role in guiding and mentoring individuals with learning disabilities or other barriers to employment. This position focuses on facilitating meaningful internships that foster independence and enhance employability skills. You will collaborate with employers and educational institutions to create a supportive environment for participants. Key Responsibilities: • Support individuals in securing and maintaining internship placements. • Provide tailored coaching and mentoring to enhance participants' skills and confidence. • Work closely with employers to identify suitable roles and ensure a positive experience for all parties. • Conduct regular assessments and provide feedback to participants on their progress. • Collaborate with educational staff to align internship experiences with learning goals. • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to develop essential workplace skills. Education Requirements: • A minimum of a relevant qualification in education, social work, or a related field. • NVQ Level 6 or equivalent qualification in Careers Education and Guidance, Youth and Community Work, or Social Care (or working towards). • Agreement to take the L3 Supported Employment qualification. Experience Requirements: • Proven experience in supporting individuals with barriers to employment. • Experience in developing training programs or workshops is advantageous. • Familiarity with the local job market and employer engagement strategies. • Experience of working with individuals with special needs.
