Specialist Audiologist

Some of the responsibilities are as follows: • You will also be expected to assist in the daytoday running of the Audiology Department, ensuring effective and safe service delivery. • You will provide highquality diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology services to adult patients and, where appropriate, children, including those with complex needs. • You will be required to undertake routine and specialist audiological assessments, interpret results, and develop appropriate rehabilitation plans, including the fitting and maintenance of NHS hearing aids. • You will support key operational responsibilities within the department, including assisting with the coordination of equipment calibration and maintenance to ensure compliance and clinical safety. • You will be expected to participate in the supervision, support, and training of BSc students and junior members of staff, under the guidance of the Team Leader. • You will work with patients and their families, using effective communication skills to deliver personcentred care and support positive clinical outcomes. • You will develop a specialist interest area and contribute to the ongoing development of that area within the service. • You will plan and manage your own caseload of patients, ensuring timely assessment, intervention, and followup. • You will contribute to audit, data collection, and service improvement initiatives within the department. • You will work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, including ENT colleagues, to support integrated patient care.
