Specialist Cardiac Physiologist

Who we're looking for We are looking for a confident, professional and patient-focused Cardiac Physiologist with strong technical knowledge and the ability to work autonomously as part of a multidisciplinary team. • A relevant qualification in Clinical Physiology, Medical Physics/Physiological Measurement or equivalent, such as BSc Clinical Physiology or HNC in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement. • RCCP registration or equivalent professional registration/accreditation. • ILS or ALS qualification. • Experience across a broad range of cardiology investigations, including ECG, Holter monitoring, BP monitoring and exercise stress testing. • Experience working within angiography/cath lab procedures and a good theoretical understanding of cardiology patients. • Specialist experience in pacemaker therapy, device follow-up and/or echocardiography. • Additional professional accreditation or qualifications would be advantageous, for example BSE accreditation, British Pacing and Electrophysiology/HRUK accreditation, respiratory accreditation or a postgraduate qualification in medical ultrasound. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly and sensitively to patients. • The ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and adapt to the changing needs of the department. • A proactive approach to continuous professional development, quality improvement and service development. • The confidence to work independently while also contributing positively to a supportive team environment.
