•
To assess, diagnose and implement evidence-based care programmes
independently for a wide range of patients with diabetes.
•
To request, perform and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests to support
accurate clinical decision-making.
•
To identify and initiate internal or external referrals for further
assessment or treatment where appropriate.
•
To deliver podiatry services across diverse clinical settings, including
health centres, community clinics, and acute inpatient and outpatient
environments.
•
To provide foot health education to patients, carers, and families,
empowering them to manage their condition effectively.
•
To maintain responsibility for clinical equipment and stock levels in line
with departmental protocols, ensuring resources are safe and available.
