Speech and Language Therapist (Band 5)

Job Role As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will deliver an evidence-based SLT service to meet the needs of the client group within a hospital setting. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will develop skills to assess, advise and intervene with the aim of promoting functional communication systems and optimal independence. You will work alongside staff, families, friends and carers to deliver high quality care. You will promote good practice and maintain a successful total communication environment and have a role in developing communication resources and delivering training for staff. We are looking for someone who can work in a dynamic environment and enjoys modifying traditional SLT approaches to real time client needs. The post is overseen and supported by a highly specialist and lead SLT for Scotland. We will offer you strong support to get started in your SLT career, including the time you need to develop your confidence, work on your RCSLT NQP Goals and receive regular high quality supervision.
