Job description

To provide Speech and Language Therapy services to transgender adults, to explore their voice and communication needs, as part of the East of England Gender Service (EoEGS). To provide individual and group assessment, individual and group therapy and management, training, advice and liaison through a consultative and coaching approaches, as appropriate. To work as part of the wider multi- disciplinary team providing a high quality, effective, accessible, person- centred services through tailored packages of care, training and mentoring. Training and supervision on voice and communication exploration will be offered for you to develop skills and experience as described in the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) Trans and Gender Diverse Competencies Framework. Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification for more detailed description of responsibilities attached to the role. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
