We have a range of flexible opportunities available from September, including day-to-day supply, short-term placements, and long-term roles. Whether you're an experienced education professional, a sports coach looking to transition into schools, or a graduate considering a career in teaching, we'd love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities • Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher. • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment. • Supervise students and ensure they remain engaged with the work provided. • Support pupils' learning, wellbeing, and development throughout the school day. • Lead and support PE lessons, sports activities, or extracurricular sessions where required. • Follow school safeguarding, behaviour, and health and safety policies at all times. • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and school leaders. • Adapt confidently to different school settings and year groups. Requirements • Experience working with young people in a school, sports coaching, youth work, or similar setting. • Strong communication and classroom management skills. • A confident, flexible, and proactive approach to working in schools. • A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed. • The ability to travel to schools across Barnsley. • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one. • The right to work in the UK. • Relevant coaching qualifications or previous school experience are desirable but not essential.
