Job description

The purpose of the job is to improve the health and wellbeing of children, young people and families, and addressing inequalities through the delivery of the healthy child programme and working as part of a skill mixed team. Working to the NMC code and within the policies and procedures for the legal and statutory requirements relating to clinical practice. The post holder will take a role in providing support for an effective transition to parenthood and adulthood, improving the health and well-being of children, young people and their families. The aim of the service is to promote and protect the health and well-being of children, young people and their families from the ante-natal period through to age 19 and address inequalities. Fundamental to the aim of the service is universal access to the healthy child programme and early identification of additional and/or complex needs. To provide a continuously improving service in line with the Childrens Public Health Service (0 19) Clinical Governance Framework and Public Health Service Plan.
