Steel Fixer

Your new company Hays Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Steel Fixer to work on a unique civil engineering project involving the construction of a new boating pond. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operative to join a busy site for approximately 3 weeks of work, with the potential for further opportunities upon completion. Your new role • Reading and interpreting reinforcement drawings and specifications • Cutting, bending and fixing steel reinforcement bars and mesh • Tying rebar cages and securing reinforcement to required standards • Assisting with preparation for concrete pours • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to specification • Working alongside groundworkers, shuttering carpenters, and site management • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment What you'll need to succeed • Previous experience working as a Steel Fixer • Valid CSCS Card (essential) • Ability to read reinforcement drawings • Own tools and PPE preferred What you'll get in return • Competitive hourly rate • Approximately 3 weeks' work • Weekly pay • Immediate start available What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
