Client: Somerset Council Job Title: Streetworks Inspector Location: Remote Length: 3-6 months Rate: £23 per hour - £31.10 per hour Key Duties: • Meeting with statutory undertakers to discuss compliance, performance and upcoming works, while inspecting live work sites and completed reinstatements to ensure they meet required standards. • Identifying defective works, issuing instructions for remedial action, and following up to ensure compliance. • Recording inspections using handheld devices and systems such as Confirm and Street Manager, including accurate mapping and photo evidence. • Checking diversion routes and temporary traffic management to ensure signage and alternative routes are compliant. • Carrying out post-closure inspections to identify damage caused by diverted traffic and directing undertakers to remedy issues.
