Student Support Worker £14.53 per hour Start: September 2026 Interviews: ASAP Supreme Recruitment is working in partnership with one of West London's leading Further Education Colleges to recruit Student Support Workers on a temporary ongoing basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them access learning, develop confidence and achieve their full potential. You will work alongside a dedicated and experienced Inclusion team, providing both 1:1 and small group support across a range of curriculum areas, including English and Maths. Key Responsibilities • Provide classroom support to students with additional learning needs. • Deliver 1:1 and small group support, adapting your approach to meet individual learning requirements. • Support students with English, Maths and vocational studies. • Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement in learning. • Work closely with lecturers and the Inclusion team to implement support plans. • Monitor student progress and provide feedback where appropriate. • Maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment. • Follow all safeguarding, health and safety and college policies. Essential Requirements • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Student Support Worker or Support Worker supporting children, young people or adults with SEN. • Good understanding of a range of additional needs. • GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. • Good knowledge of safeguarding procedures. • Flexible, reliable and professional approach. • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one). • Available to start in September 2026. Desirable • Experience within a Further Education or education setting. • Experience supporting learners with Autism, ADHD, SEMH or learning difficulties. • First Aid or Team Teach training (advantageous but not essential).
