Job description

Supply Teacher (Year 4) - Primary School - Warrington Area Start Date: September Contract: Full-time, temporary (with potential to extend to the end of the month) Are you a dedicated and adaptable primary teacher looking for your next rewarding opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 4 Supply Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Warrington area. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who thrives in dynamic classroom environments and is confident supporting pupils with a wide range of abilities. The role is initially for one week, with a strong likelihood of extension for the remainder of the month. About the Role You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to a class of 30 pupils, supported by a full-time, experienced HLTA. The class includes pupils working across a broad academic range, with additional support needs present (including SEND support and EHCPs). Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach will be key to success in this role. Requirements • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) • Experience teaching in UK primary schools (ideally KS2) • A flexible and proactive attitude • Proven ability in behaviour management strategies and creating a calm, purposeful learning environment • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, including those with EHCPs • Confidence delivering lessons across mixed attainment levels School Ethos Rooted in a strong Christian vision of "Let Your Light Shine", the school is a nurturing, values-driven community where every child is supported to flourish. With a focus on respect, kindness and aspiration, staff work together to create a caring environment that champions inclusion, celebrates individuality and inspires a lifelong love of learning. What's on Offer • Support from a skilled HLTA in the classroom • Weekly PPA time • A collaborative and welcoming staff team • Opportunity for extended work • A chance to make a meaningful impact in a well-supported setting This role would particularly suit a confident KS2 teacher or experienced supply teacher who enjoys longer-term placements. It is ideal for someone who is steady under pressure, skilled at building relationships quickly, and committed to inclusive, high-quality teaching. Teachers between roles or those seeking consistent short-term work with potential extension will find this especially appealing. Interested? Please submit your CV and a brief cover note outlining your suitability for the role.
