The Role: Are you a naturally kind, patient, and conversational person looking for a deeply rewarding role? We are recruiting Care Companions to provide vital non-medical support to individuals living at home. Unlike hectic care home shifts, this role focuses on one-to-one companionship, community inclusion, and daily living support. You will be matched with specific clients to build genuine, lasting relationships. Key Responsibilities: • Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversation, share hobbies, and provide emotional support. • Community Access: Accompany clients to social clubs, medical appointments, shopping trips, or local walks. • Daily Living Support: Assist with light household tasks, meal preparation, and running essential errands. • Independence Support: Help clients manage daily routines and build confidence in their independent living skills. What We Are Looking For: • Experience: While 6 months of professional care experience is preferred, we highly value personal experience (such as caring for a family member) and a naturally compassionate personality. • Compliance: An active Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service). • Characteristics: High empathy, excellent listening skills, reliability, and absolute integrity. • Logistics: Excellent conversational English. A full UK driving license and access to a car is highly desirable to take clients out into the community.
