Sustainability Specialist Salary: Up to £50,000 + Comprehensive Benefits Package Location: Yorkshire / Humberside Working Pattern: Hybrid Working Are you passionate about helping businesses turn environmental commitments into practical, measurable action? We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing organisation that is continuing to invest in its environmental and sustainability agenda. This is a great opportunity to join a growing sustainability function and support the delivery of projects across a complex operational environment. The role will suit someone who enjoys working with data, engaging stakeholders and helping to turn strategy into practical improvements across sites, teams and processes. The Opportunity You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business to support the delivery of environmental and sustainability initiatives, helping to improve performance, strengthen reporting and embed consistent ways of working. Key responsibilities include: • Supporting the delivery of sustainability and environmental improvement projects across a multi-site business. • Tracking progress against key environmental measures, targets and internal plans. • Working with internal stakeholders to gather information, review performance and identify areas for improvement. • Supporting the development of internal processes, guidance and reporting materials. • Helping to prepare information for internal and external sustainability updates. • Reviewing environmental data to identify trends, risks and opportunities. • Supporting wider project activity linked to environmental performance, resource efficiency and responsible business practices. • Building strong relationships across operational and corporate teams to keep projects moving forward. About You You’ll be someone who combines environmental knowledge with strong communication, organisation and analytical skills. You’ll ideally have: • A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Ecology, Hydrology or a related subject. • Experience in an environmental, sustainability, ESG or responsible business role. • Good understanding of environmental performance, risk, reporting and improvement activity. • Experience working with environmental data, metrics or reporting information. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn information into clear insight and recommendations. • Confidence working with stakeholders across different teams and levels. • Excellent organisation and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Experience within manufacturing, engineering, industrial or process-led environments.
