This is an opportunity to work alongside some of the most respected lawyers in the market, advising major corporates, financial institutions, and high-profile individuals on complex and often high-value tax disputes. The team sits at the forefront of tax controversy, handling some of the most challenging matters involving HMRC investigations, tax litigation, and cross-border disputes. The role offers exposure to sophisticated, commercially significant work within a supportive and collaborative global environment. The Opportunity You will play a key role in advising clients throughout the lifecycle of complex tax disputes, including: • Managing contentious tax matters from early-stage investigations through to litigation and resolution • Advising on HMRC enquiries, investigations, assessments, and challenges • Preparing strategic advice, legal opinions, submissions, and court documents • Representing clients in tax litigation proceedings before UK courts and tribunals • Supporting international tax controversy matters alongside colleagues across global offices • Working closely with lawyers across tax, disputes, corporate, finance, and regulatory teams • Building trusted client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the practice What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with strong experience in tax disputes, tax litigation, or contentious tax advisory work.
