Tax Manager Leading Accountancy Practice | Manchester Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE + Enhanced Benefits Package + Ongoing CPD + Clear Career Progression Our client is a leading firm with an outstanding reputation for delivering specialist tax and accountancy services to a diverse client base. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a talented Tax Manager to join their established and expanding tax team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a tax professional from a personal, corporate, private client, mixed tax, VAT or advisory background who is looking for a varied role, exposure to complex tax matters, and a genuine pathway towards Senior Manager, Director and Partner level. Role Responsibilities: • Managing a portfolio of tax clients. • Reviewing tax returns, computations and compliance processes. • Delivering proactive tax planning and advisory services. • Advising on a wide range of tax matters including succession planning, restructures, shareholder planning, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, corporation tax and business growth strategies. • Supporting clients through HMRC enquiries and investigations. • Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships. • Identifying opportunities to develop existing client services and generate new business. • Managing, mentoring and developing junior tax professionals. • Working collaboratively with Partners on complex projects and business development initiatives. • Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and sharing technical knowledge across the team. About You • CTA, ATT, ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience). • Previous experience managing tax clients within an accountancy practice. • Strong technical knowledge across one or more tax disciplines. • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. • Commercially aware with a proactive and client-focused approach. • Passionate about developing both clients and junior team members.
