Core Responsibilities • Lesson Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons that align with the National Curriculum guidelines. • Exam Preparation: Prepare Key Stage 4 students effectively for their upcoming GCSE English Language and Literature examinations. • Progress Tracking: Consistently assess, mark, and record student work, providing constructive feedback to guide their academic development. • Differentiated Learning: Adapt teaching materials to support both high-achieving students and those requiring additional educational support (SEND). • Classroom Management: Implement the school's behaviour policy consistently to maintain a focused, safe, and positive learning atmosphere. • Form Tutor Duties: Act as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral care and guidance to a designated cohort of students. • Department Collaboration: Attend departmental meetings to share best practices, design schemes of work, and moderate student assessments. • Parental Engagement: Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, including attending parent's evenings. • Data Analysis: Analyse student performance data to identify learning gaps and implement effective intervention strategies. • Extracurricular Support: Contribute to the wider school community by assisting with literacy initiatives, book clubs, or school events.
